What is PV Solar Energy
Today PV Solar Systems are gaining more and more popularity in Ireland and there are good reasons for this as Households, Businesses and Industries can benefiting from significantly reduced electric bills.

PV Electricity is used to charge appliances, run systems and generate power and because solar energy is clean and renewable it cuts down drastically on the use of fossil fuels like Coal, Gas, Oil and in doing so, protects the environment from harmful CO2 omissions.

Solar energy is harnessed from light and the sun. It is free, abundant, renewable and totally environmentally friendly. PV Solar panels were developed to absorb this power and through certain processes convert it into electricity which can then be used to power household appliances, heating systems and generate hot water.

There are several different types of of solar technology. PV and Thermal are the two most popular versions, both systems work off daylight and do not depend totally on direct sunlight. PV is different to thermal in that it produces electricity that can be put to extensive uses where as thermal can only be used to heat water.
Another potential advantage PV has over thermal is that with our Smart system when you are producing more electricity than is required for your household needs, you will be able to use that excess smartly.

How does PV Solar energy work

A typical photovoltaic system employs solar panels, each comprising a number of solar cells, which generate electrical power, this produces a photoelectric effect followed by an electrochemical process where crystallized atoms, ionized in a series, generate an electric current.

Where can PV Solar be used

In a word "anywhere", in Residential, Commercial, Industrial,
Health, Educational, Hotel & Leisure and Agricultural locations.
All one needs is daylight .

Where are the panels installed

Panels are normally installed on the roof of a premises but can also be erected in a
standalone area (ground mounted), depending on your energy requirements and the space available .
If needs be, the required number of panels can be installed
on an adjoining site.

Installation time
It is subject to the size of the property.
